August and the War shortlisted for 39th European Film Awards

August and the war was awarded a prize by the International Jury at Oberhausen Kurzfilmtage, and was one of only 31 European short films to be shortlisted for the 39th European Film Awards. The final nomination will be be decided in October and the awards given in Athens in January 2027.

The jury described the short as a "critical and humorous reflection on the rising militarization in Europe.”
