Startsladden: August and the War nominated to best swedish short film
New short at Gothenburg Film Festival

We are excited to announce that our new short film, August och kriget, directed by Samori Tovatt and Leandro Netzell, is one of the eight selected films to Gothenburg Film Festival competition Startsladden, the most important shortfall competition in the Nordics. It will be competing for a prize of around 450 000 swedish crowns.
They describe it as follows:
August i Blomstermåla kan inte göra lumpen. Men när Sverige rustar upp och beredskapsveckan når den småländska orten får han möjlighet att utforska både sin egen och andras försvarsvilja, i avväpnande och humoristisk samtidsskildring om en av vår tids stora frågor.
